MALITÉ is a women-led, Nigeria based clothing label rooted in the spirit of new beginnings. Our name means “to begin” or “to get started” a reflection of the moment we chose to stop waiting and finally take that first step. As the saying goes, “the secret to getting ahead is getting started”; so we did. K’ANYI MALITÉ.

Growing up, African fashion was reserved for special occasions like weddings, ceremonies, or cultural days. It was beautiful, yes but rarely part of everyday life. MALITÉ was born from a desire to change that. We create bold, modern pieces that celebrate African heritage while feeling effortlessly wearable; fashion that fits seamlessly into daily life.

Our designs blend traditional African elements with western cuts and contemporary silhouettes. The result: clothing that honours culture without compromising style. It’s confident, rooted, and unapologetically stylish.

We offer ready-to-wear pieces in sizes UK 6 to 24, along with made-to-measure options for all genders. Whether you’re dressing for work, a laid-back slay, a night out, or a vibrant owambe, MALITÉ is your go-to for feel-good fashion that moves with you.

Every piece is designed with intention and handcrafted by our skilled in-house artisans. We source our materials (stock, recycled, and repurposed) from both local and international partners, producing in limited quantities to reduce waste and promote mindful consumption.

By working closely with local artisans and manufacturing within our community, we’re proud to be part of Africa’s growing fashion and production ecosystem thus contributing to the economic and creative growth of the continent’s makers.
